Kingston Queer Volleyball
Kingston Queer Volleyball is back for the 2017/18 season! Please note the new location and night! Our first night is this coming Thursday, September 7th, and continuing most weeks until late June (with some breaks for holidays and such).
Last year we drifted a little too far to the competitive side, so we’ll be getting back to the recreational/social level a little more this season. If we scared you away in the past, please consider giving it another shot this time around.
Looking forward to another great year! Don’t forget to share this or bring a friend if you know someone who might be interested. Hope to see you all again soon!
Where: Limestone Education Center (former Calvin Park school, across the street from where we were last year), 164 Van Order Drive. Use the northwest parking lot/entrance (see picture), as I’ve been told that’s the only door that will be open in the evenings! There’s only one gym and it’s easy enough to find. LEC is located near the Kingston Center at the intersection of Bath Road & Sir John A. MacDonald Blvd. If you need a ride you can post on Facebook and someone can probably help you out.
When: Thursdays starting September 7th, 7-10PM (sometimes ending early depending on turnout, come late or leave early as desired).
What To Bring: Indoor athletic shoes (ideally non-marking ones), comfortable clothing (usually a little on the warm side, change rooms available), water or sports drink if desired (water fountains available), knee pads if desired.
Cost: $4 per night or $35 per half season. Free preview night for newcomers.
Experience Required: None! This is a fun social group with a wide range of skill levels. Basic knowledge of volleyball rules is recommended, there are many good resources online.
